  Hi LB –

  All of the support for WordPress.com is offered online via the forums, email, or live chat support.

  Adding the ‘modlook’ tag to a forum post will flag it for staff.

  Ok, thanks. When you say a “modlook” tag, do you mean a picture/logo or word tag? Sorry, I’m new to this and thanks for your help.

  So if I use wordpress, I can only get technical assistance through an online method, never talking to a live person?

  Good Morning –

  On the right of your screen you’ll see a Tags box, with ‘add’ next to it. This is where you would type ‘modlook’ then click add. That will flag your forum post for staff.

  Free WordPress.com accounts get support in the public support forums (here). Some folks use the forums to toss around ideas and get opinions from other bloggers.

  We also offer private email and live chat support. See here.

  If you planned on using a custom domain, you’d then have the upgrade needed for live chat support.

  Just to clarify, signing up for a website on WordPressdotcom, even with an upgrade Plan, does not get you “design services.” It does get you website hosting and a website with added features. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Having said that, besides the live chat and email support services with any upgrade plan, there are tutorials available to help you create your business site. Let us know if you want more information about those.
