  Hi I have just set up my blog for the first time on wordpress and I need a lot of help! When people click on my wordpress it goes straight to the most recent blog but I would like to have my about me page as my main feature as the first thing people see on my blog? and just have my blogs on the side so they can click and choose which blog to read?
  What are the differences between pages and blogs?

  Also how do people find your blog posts? I know you can put tags in and categories but I cannot find a list of tags and categories people use on here to be able to choose which ones?

  Hi there, I see you have gotten your About page set as your static front page now and have the categories widget in your sidebar. Nice work!

  Categories are used to organize your posts into subjects so that it is easier for visitors to find posts that are of a subject they are interested in. Tags can be used to give users a bit more information about the posts, but they are not required. Create categories and tags that make sense for your posts and then use them sort of sparingly. Here is a good support document on categories and tags and the differences, and gives some guidelines on how many should be used.
