New stats page confusion and lack of information
-
I have two questions both having to do with the “new” not at all improved dashboard. First, the drop down list of comment notifications no longer has an arrow to show that you have responded to that comment. Is there any way to tell from the drop down list whether you have responded or not? The old drop down list was MUCH more helpful. Second, I like that on the old stats page everything I needed was right in front of me without having to scroll up and down constantly. I also like the graph bar that shows me on one bar both the unique visitors and the page views. I always click over to the old stats format when I log on. Why does clicking over sometimes bring me to a page with a bar graph with no unique vistor data (no numbers, no graph bars)? I don’t understand the inconsistency and would like to just access the page I am looking for each time.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry for any confusion caused by the recent changes to Stats and Notifications.
First, the drop down list of comment notifications no longer has an arrow to show that you have responded to that comment. Is there any way to tell from the drop down list whether you have responded or not?
If you’ll visit https://wordpress.com/notifications , the arrow still appears if you’ve replied to the comment — but in the Notification drop-down from the Admin bar, no, there is no indicator of whether or not you’ve replied to a comment.
Second, I like that on the old stats page everything I needed was right in front of me without having to scroll up and down constantly. I also like the graph bar that shows me on one bar both the unique visitors and the page views.
Thank you for this feedback. A number of other users feel the same way, and I’ve reported this again to our developers doing ongoing work on the Stats page.
Why does clicking over sometimes bring me to a page with a bar graph with no unique vistor data (no numbers, no graph bars)? I don’t understand the inconsistency and would like to just access the page I am looking for each time.
The graph and numbers you’re referring to is still currently available here:

Thank you for your clear answers. In general, the “upgrades” were downgrades. Things really shouldn’t be fixed unless they are broken. Providing less information is rarely a good thing. So as I understand it, I get less information from the drop down notifications. This is very annoying. That means I have to go to another screen to know if I have responded. Why even have the drop down on my stats page then? I would much rather be able to see everything in one place. The same goes for the new stats page which is very user unfriendly. In general, what is helpful is one screen (without scrolling up or down) where I can get all of my moment to moment stats AND manage the comments to my blog. Thank you for listening to my feedback.
