new stats plugin does not seem to work

on a template i made myself. but it seems to work fine with another blog with the wordpress’s default template.
could i be missing some code which is used by wordpress stat plugin in my customised (messed up) template?

As you say you are using your own template I’m assuming you are not referring to a wordpress.com blog. If that’s th case then you can report this directly to Matt this in the thread where he made the stats plug-in announcement http://wordpress.com/blog/2007/05/06/stats-plugin/
And in the final analysis you can email support at this domain dot com if you need technical help as we volunteers do not have backend access to blogs. -
Just for reference, the main wp.com blog is not a suggested support option. email to support would be best.
Well a link to the blog in question wouild have been best actually. That way we could have seen if we saw the smilely.
