New subscribers can't subscribe to my blog

I just publicized my blog artfulprofiles.com, two days ago, and several people have told me that they have subscribed. However, since this morning these new subscriptions aren’t showing up in my subscriber count, and their email addresses aren’t on my blog follower list. It looks like something is keeping them from activating their subscription. So I tried subscribing to the blog myself from a smartphone not connected to my blog account. Here’s the message I got twice, sent to two different email addresses not associated with the blog:
‘Your subscription could not be activated. It may have expired, or the email address you subscribed with is not attached to your WordPress.com account.’
Any ideas on what’s going on and how I can fix it? Thanks!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
