New Subscribers not showing

  Hi,
  A friend subscribed to my blog, they accepted the mail confirmation too, but their email is not showing in my subscriber list. come to think of it my subscriber list has been static at 160 for a few months now, so I was wondering if there is a glitch? Will I be able to find these missing subscribers?

  Hi there,
  
  Can you provide the email of your friend? The email will be redacted from the forums, and only staff can view it. I am not seeing anything that would prevent users from subscribing to your blog, so once I receive your friend’s email, we’ll take a deeper look into what’s going on and try to pinpoint the issue.

  Hi there, for the first email address, they are subscribed to the site, and should be receiving emails. If they are not, you can suggest to them to make sure and check spam, just in case it is mistakenly getting caught.

  For the second one, I do not see that they are subscribed. If you have contact with them, can you ask them to try again, and if they have issues, can they give you any error they are seeing? Alternately, if they can take a screenshot and send it to you, you can upload it to your media library and we can see it there.

  Thank you! (email visible only to moderators and staff) was getting mails in spam folder and is showing in my subscriber list.

  for (email visible only to moderators and staff) I have added the screenshot to the media library. They are receiving mails but their email is not showing in my subscriber list.

  I’ve taken a look and I can see this is the case also with (email visible only to moderators and staff) – I’ve had added them as a subscriber on this panel here: https://wordpress.com/people/add-subscribers/andreabellewrites.wordpress.com

  Can you tell me if that confirmation has been received by the recipient?

  No , she checked but hasn’t recieved any mail at (email visible only to moderators and staff). not in spam folder either.

  Upon reviewing the email logs, it appears that the recipient received three emails approximately two days ago. These emails are as follows:

  1. An email requesting confirmation of their subscription to your site.
  2. An email confirming that their subscription was successfully confirmed.
  3. An email notifying them about a new post titled “An Unimposing Introvert.”

  Since they were able to confirm their subscription themselves (as we cannot do it on their behalf), it is likely that these emails may be found in one of the Gmail tabs, such as Social or Promotions. If they cannot locate the new post notification immediately, they can try searching for “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” to find it.

  thanks for your message. I still am not able to see (email visible only to moderators and staff) under my subscriber list. Is there anything she needs to do? She has already confirmed the subscription. Screenshot in media file uploads.

  Hi there,

  Thanks for confirming. We’re having trouble on our end spotting what the issue might be here. In the meantime I have tried to invite them as a subscriber using the option here to see if it will allow them to be added correctly: https://wordpress.com/people/add-subscribers/andreabellewrites.wordpress.com

  You may see an email confirming they are in the process of being added, and your friend may also see an email on their end that they will need to act on to confirm.

  Also I noticed that about 3 months ago you had our help with transferring subscribers from your other site. Was this friend previously subscribed to that site at all? Or is this a totally new subscription to this site only?
