New Theme I Purchased is not working well

  I purchased the Organization theme last night and cannot seem to get my (or any) banner to appear. Could you please help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  I’m happy to help you out with the Organization theme. For starters, we do have a support document specifically for this theme here:

  By “Banner” do you mean the Post Slider? There are some instructions on setting that up in the link above, but if you get stuck let me know!

  Hi,

  As I mentioned in an earlier email, I purchased the Organization theme and the slider and “three featured pages” feature does not work. Other than changing the color and font, this theme does not work as advertised. I’ve been a member of WordPress for a while and have always been happy with my purchases. Please help me.

  Hi Koen,

  I’m happy to help you while Shawna is out.

  The first step is to go in an identify your page ‘Home’ with the template ‘Home Page’. You can see how to change the page template here:

  Page Attributes

  Once you have done that you will need to set some of these pieces up in the Appearance -> Customize menu on your Dashboard.

  For the three boxes in the center:

  1. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Theme
  2. Choose the Page you would like displayed for “Middle content block – left”
  3. Choose the Page you would like displayed for “Middle content block – middle”
  4. Choose the Page you would like displayed for “Middle content block – right.”
  5. Click the blue Save button

  Each page will need to be selected before they will display correctly on the home page. The image shown will be the ‘Featured Image’ of that page, and the button will automatically link to that page.

  For the slider, you will also set this up primarily using the Appearance -> Customize section on the Dashboard:

  1. Add a Tag to the Posts you wish to display in the Slider, e.g. “featured.”
  2. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Featured Content
  3. Enter the name of the Tag, e.g. “featured.”
  4. Click the blue Save button at the bottom.
