New Theme or I will switch.
-
Can you look at this site… http://rocketandmoose.com At the bottom it says the lick to WP themes. The Theme is called Color Paper and I personally think its pretty cool witht the side bar and the change of colors on the little side of the post.
Thanks -
New Theme or I will switch.
I guess you’ll have to switch because the theme your asking for
won’t be added anytime soon. -
Sometimes we want a lot of things we cant have. Though, when I threatened to switch internet companies because of installation would be $145, they did do it for free…but I doubt that would work here at wordpress, even though it would be cool if that was possible because I have my eye on one particular theme.
-
Given that the forum is full of volunteers, why would you assume that we would care where you’re hosted?
-
Sorry but the creator of the Color Paper theme has chosen to use a license that prohibits it from ever being made available on WordPress.com. We can only consider GPL themes for WordPress.com.

Should we really be expecting a lot, I mean we are already going to get a new version of wordpress with a stylish dashboard and this service is free and they have add two newer theme last month I believe. Even though I would like more themes, I’ve come to the realization that you get what you pay for and wordpress is the best free blog hosting company ever. Also, the CSS upgrade isn’t bad, even though Im still mildly disappointed I cant get the name of the author at the top of the post.
-
There is already a thread in the forum with nearly three hundred suggestions. Simply saying “gee, I wanna new theme!” is unlikely to be weighted heavily when staff comes to make decisions.
-
@raincoaster: Truth is the post is a request for the Color Paper theme. The TITLE is a different story: with 4,793,242 wp blogs at the moment, the only reasonable answer is “switch!”.
-
Ok… so if 4,793,242 bloggers on WP each want their own theme, I guess WP should give it to them.
Damn that theme viewer would suck up a person’s time, now… wouldn’t it?
-
@panaghiotisadam of course you’re right, but logic isn’t the key here, I’m thinking. The key is, I don’t give a rat’s ass what strangers use for their blogs; they can go ahead and use Tumblr and be read by nobody except the other people on the same inpatient ward.
-
Cool, didn’t know what Tumblr was until you mentioned. I decided to sign up to see what the themes look like, and there aren’t many to choose from, even though, they do have this theme called “Silo” which is fantastic. Also, you can change CSS for free. Since I have been on the internet I have never actually stumbled upon a tumblr blog before, which would probably support your premise that no one would read it. Probably just for people who want more private or personal blogs.
Even though I would never use Tumblr as a main blog, its definitely better then blogger as far as Im concerned. Not better then wordpress though. Definitely get a lot more features and exposure with wordpress. -

Tumblr is the simplest blogging platform in the world. Unless you’re a coder, it’s also the most limited one.
It’s like a gated community where some people can afford help (like coders to enable comments) and some cannot (and cannot have comments).
In my opinion, Tumblr is a gated hipster community built to sell. When they’ve got enough people they think are “brands” they’ll sell it to Microsoft or whoever.
It’s incredibly easy to use. But it doesn’t connect with the outer universe. What is the point?
