new themes does not appear at localhost

  Hello every one
  i am new to wordpress and i am trying to learn it these days, i have successfully installed wordpress blog at my local machine just to practice but when i download some new themes from net and put them in wp-content/themes folder after unzipping them but they did’nt appear at my control panel, i just want some help from you people please guide e properly. remember i am runnng that blog at localhost on apache 2.2 and MySQL 5.
