New themes or new widgets??

  Does anybody know if wordpress is thinking in give us some more templates or better widgets soon?? just curiosity

  WordPress is working on adding themes this year and they have already added Grid Focus and Vigilance and updated Prologue to “P2”.

  You have to realize that it isn’t just a matter of plopping a new theme in here. They have to be reviewed for security holes, modified to work with the wordpress software that is used here, then tested in all browsers (and several versions) in all operating systems. If problems are found during testing, then they are fixed and then the testing in all browsers (and several versions) in all operating systems goes another round.

  What I’m saying is it takes time.

  As far as widgets go, send your requests into staff directly at http://support.wordpress.COM/contact/ so they can log them. Include a link to the service/widget you want added and explain why you want it added (and don’t just say, “I want this, it’s cool).

  And don’t forget, we also got a TWITter widget just this last week. Widgets are the same way. Write it, then test it, then correct problems, then test it, etc., then release it to the blogger and they will invariably find more bugs.
