New to blogging

  Hi
  I’m New to blogging and I was just wondering if a paid blog is better than a free one? I’m not on here to make money, I’m just here to clear my head. With that in mind what do you suggest

  If you’re not here to make money and you don’t want to worry about coding and site security and stuff like that, then the free WordPress.com option you have at http://lovelostone.wordpress.com/ is probably the best option for you. You don’t even have to buy any of the upgrades either. I’ve been here now for more than two years and well on my way to 400 posts and get by just fine without any upgrades.

  Easiest way to quickly learn how everything works on WordPress.com is to work through the “Learn WordPress” support doc (http://learn.wordpress.com/) and the “Video Quick Start” tutorial (http://en.support.wordpress.com/video-quick-start/).

  On WordPress.org (the self-hosted option) you can do more, as you can install plugins and change the coding of your blog, etc., but if you just want to write you probably won’t worry about those stuff. WordPress.org have their own support forum, if you decide to go with that platform. You’ll need to buy your own domain and a hosting account to use WordPress.org.
