new to this – can you design then upgrade to paid subscription

    Hi im new to this, ive tried creating something on Wix but am told you get more control with wordpress, can you go in and design the site first before you subscribe? how do I know they will have the design features I need before paying?

    I dont want to pay a fee then when i sign up realise I cant make it look like what ive already put together on wix? I wanted to make sure I can get the same look as I like what ive designed on wix and would like to be able to create it on wordpress

    ive tried looking at the free section to see if you can design it for free then upgrade when you go live but I cant seem to work it out

    You might be referring to the WordPress.org software because it gives you total control of your site versus WordPress.com. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    If I am, so you’re referring to WordPress.com then you can absolutely try the free plan and see if you can replicate what you’ve created on Wix using the available features and functionality of WordPress.com. Signing up for a WordPress.com account and creating a blog/site is absolutely free.

    If the free plan doesn’t get it done, consider upgrading to the premium or business plan because they give you more customization options.

    right, so the software you can make complete bespoke site?

    im just worried if I pay for the bespoke option what happens if I cant make a replica of what ive already designed

    Im a new cake business so what little money I have is precious atm so want to be sure im investing in the right stuff and not just wasting money

    Can you make your own templates on photoshop or a design programme an just upload ?

    sorry for all the questions, new at this :)
