New to this- google webmaster linking?

  Trying to update my google webmasters account to include this site; http://www.groomingforall.wordpress.com I am supposed to upload a file to my site to verify through google, but not seeing any options to upload the file anywhere on here. Should I even be doing this? I am only using this as a blog

  Verifying a site with Google is not necessary, but some people like to see the additional data that Google provides through their Search Console (aka Webmaster Tools).
