new to website writing

  HI, I am just a very beginner and I would like to put a site together before putting on the web. I think my site is on the web – how can i tell ? if it is, how can I take it off and then edit the site until I am ready to put it on the web ?

  Hi,
  Your website (drcforde.wordpress.com) is currently marked private. If you wish to check that for yourself, log out of WordPress.com and then try viewing your site.

  When your site is ready, go to My Sites > Settings. Look for the Site Visibility section and select “Allow search engines to index this site”. Then click “Save Settings”.
