New to wordpress
-
Hi everybody!
Been working on a website builder called Bubble.io now for a while. Heard about WordPress from a person while diving and here to try it out. Everything seems very nice and simple but I have some questions. In bubble.io you have a database where all the information from the site is being stored such as user information etc. Is it the same here in WordPress? Also, can you build a signup system and have the users interact with each other?
Regards, Hugo :)

Hi Hugo, yes, information is stored in a MySQL database, and yes you certainly can create a signup system.
Although you may prefer to work with the free, open source software right now, and these forums are for the software as a service.
You can find the free software’s forums here:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/There are also developer docs for best practices and what not, all on that site.
Once you’ve created your site, if you’d like us to host and manage it, let us know!
Alternatively, if you’re interested in a system for users to interact with each other, you might check out P2. That’s what we use here. It’s based in WordPress:
https://wordpress.com/p2/There are other plugins built for WordPress too, such as BuddyPress, that you might like.
Hoping that helps!
