new to wordpress

    I am an intern and I was given a domain name and password from eleganthemes. Now it seems I have to download wordpress. How do I keep the domain at elegant themes? Do I have to buy something? Is there a tutorial on this?

    Hi sampaguita67, welcome! You will need a WordPress installation somewhere.

    If you’d like to install the Elegant Theme here, you’ll need our Business Plan, which allows outside theme installation:
    https://wordpress.com/pricing

    Then we’d take care of security, maintenance, and support for your copy of WordPress.

    Or, if you’re comfortable handling the techy stuff on your own and with searching the web, you could also install your own copy of WordPress elsewhere:
    https://get.wp.com
