  yes, my specific question is- if I purchase and build my site with the Business Plan $300/year, and map it to my host, will my website continue to be functional if I do not continue making annual payments with the WordPress “Business Plan”? Thanks in advance for your help. Emi

  Hi Emi,

  What exactly are you trying to achieve? If you want to use your site with another host, there is really no point to purchase Business plan here, on WordPress.com.

  To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

  We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
