New to WordPress

  I am transferring my website over from Wix because I heard it was better for making money with blogs, but I am so lost. Everything is confusing. I’m barely able to customize my website at all. The only thing I’ve been able to control is my header and menu. I can’t change fonts, I can’t control what is on my other pages, I can’t set up social media icons. I am so lost and on the verge of tears. Every time I search for help on their website, their ‘help’ videos are showing me completely different things than I’m seeing on my own dashboard and customize bar. I’m just confused why this isn’t more user friendly and how I can get a decent looking website without paying another $100. Also, why can’t I add an ‘About Me’ section on a sidebar? Sorry if this is vague, I just need general support overall for a beginner.
