New to WordPress, all themes become single page?

  Hi,

  I am absolutely new to wordpress, am a mechanical design engineer who wanted to customize the Shawburn by Automattic theme & change all the pages to suit my needs. But when I select the theme and apply I only get a single homepage on my website. Any feedback is appreciated.
