New to WordPress and lost
-
I was able to create a ‘My Site’ with a domain name/site address. I created a title and the ‘About’ screen. But I can’t get a theme to show up, I don’t know how to find the ‘My Site’ again if I turn off the computer. I would like to change/add some pictures to the site and add some information paragraphs on my Home page. How do I figure out how to do all this?
I am a retired bookkeeper/accountant who at 73 knows about computers – especially accounting programs, spreadsheets and word programs – but I have no idea how to do web site designs. I barely know how to navigate web sites. How do I get help?

Hello:-)
For starters, to be able to go back to your site and log into your Dashboard, (think of it as the ‘Control Panel’ of your pc, where you can control every aspect of your website), you would go to:
wordpresscom1066.wordpress.com/wp-adminThe ‘wp-admin’ at the end is basically ‘WordPress admin’ account. Where you log in to make changes, write posts, etc.
I could suggest a lot of guides where you could read through, step by step and get a feel about how you can navigate through your page, the back end of your site, (your ‘administration’ area, ‘control panel’ remember?). A good guide to start with is this:
