new to WordPress and trying to customize themes

    Hi everyone!

I’m Gigi, excited to be part of this amazing community! 😊 I like to keep things straightforward, so here goes:

I’m using the “Hey” theme for my blog, where all my posts are displayed in a list format. However, I’ve noticed that it only shows the latest 7 posts, and I really want to display all of them.

Could anyone guide me on how to customize the theme to show all my posts instead of just the 7 most recent ones? I’d really appreciate your help!

Thank you so much for your time!

    x, G

  • Hello Gigi,

I’m using the “Hey” theme for my blog, where all my posts are displayed in a list format. However, I’ve noticed that it only shows the latest 7 posts, and I really want to display all of them.

Thank you for reaching out! Here’s how you can customize your “Hey” theme to display all your posts:

    1. Access the Site Editor: Go to your Site Editor.
    2. Select the Query Loop Block: Click on the Query Loop block on your homepage. This block is responsible for displaying your posts.
    3. Edit Items per Page:
      • Once you click on the Query Loop block, a toolbar will appear at the top.
      • In the toolbar, look for the option labeled Display settings.
      • Under Items per page, set the number of posts you want to display. Note that displaying more than 100 posts at once could significantly slow down your page’s loading time.

For more detailed instructions, you can refer to the Query Loop Block support document.

Here’s a screenshot from your site editor, illustrating the steps:
