New to WordPress, need help
-
I have no idea how to customize on here… I selected a theme but don’t know how to change the fonts in the header. I would like my header to look somewhat like this one… http://thefitbride.wordpress.com/half-marathon-training-plan/
The font won’t be the same but I like how she has the name of her blog with the tagline below it.
How do I get the tagline to show and how do I change the font?
Sorry for the newbie question…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The headline and tagline is custom text in a header image.
Any image editor should be able to add text to an image like that.

Some themes will display both the blog name and a tagline. This is built into the themes. Digg3 won’t display the tagline. Which fonts are used for titles is also built in.
You can do some tricks with html in a text widget to add a tagline:
<div align="center" style="width:100%;top:195px;left:0;position:absolute;"> <table border="0"> <tr> <td> </td> <td><div style="font-size:1.2em;color:#b2a570;position:relative;z-index:11;">YOUR_TAGLINE_HERE</div></td> <td> </td> </tr> </table> </div>That puts your tagline in the center of your header, near the bottom.
you can adjust font size and color… even the font family -

The problem with using an image for your blog title will be that search engines won’t see a title on your blog. They can’t read images, only text.
Also, when I look at your blog, I’d suggest moving the title a bit left so that it is over the dark snail body. There are very few tags that will work in titles but & n b s p ; (type it without the spaces: ampersand no break space semi-colin ) Repeat that no-break space code as many times as needed until your title is where you can read it.
Settings —> General —> Blog Title —> Save
(plain spaces won’t work but once you save the code disappear so it will look like plain spaces)
