New to WordPress need some advice on the set up

  I am attempted to use the Free Harmonic Theme and to replace the image with that of my own. However, It will not allow save the header image that I want on the landing page.

  I currently have a domain(s) through Google and Go Daddy(host company). Do I have to pay for hosting in order to have video press? It is my desire to have the home page set up with full video or image as a background. Can this be done or should I research other platforms?
