new to wordpress, quick question

so i had a basic question. i am starting a video blog bookmark videos, but also to archive my own videos. i’m a pro freelancer in LA and i’m real new and excited about wordpress. i heard about it at sxsw a few years back, but wow the developers are amazing….
i currently use vimeo, but i was really impressed with the h.264 conversion and handling by wordpress.
anyways question: do yo think the quality would be just as good for personal archives & is it ok to upload my work (i am the editor) of mtv/bet videos with rights from universal & warner, or should i just stick with snippets.
i dont want to pay to upload my work and have it taken down… is there a system like youtube, where it recognizes the audio and automaticly shuts it down?
i know i’m all over the place, but i really enjoy my new found wordpress and it would be great to consolidate my video stuff and get it off of vimeo where people rip it for youtube all the time
