New to WordPress.com and can't connect to WordPress server

  I’ve been a Wix user for a few years, and decided to try out WordPress as my business has grown. I created a free account to start, just to test the waters, threw on a picture and a theme, labeled a home page, and when I click to view the page, I keep getting the error ‘the server where this page is located is not responding.’ It’s not just when I try to view my test, but when I try to check out information on plug ins, some informational blogs, etc. I’ve tried working on two different browsers, Safari and Chrome. Chrome gives the error ‘en.blog.wordpress.com took too long to respond’ and ‘ERR CONNECTION TIMED OUT.’ Is there a known issue at this time? It’s a little disheartening going from a web based app that has had 0 issues in 3 years to an app that is supposed to be the be all for the creation of business web pages and it’s problematic right from the start.

  https://remaxskyline.wordpress.com/ is set to private currently so I’m not able to help much. However, you mention plugins, and plugins are not used in WordPress.com sites. Plugins are usually used in self-hosted sites. If you’re trying to self-host your blog using WordPress.org software, I recommend you post your question at: https://wordpress.org/support/

  I am using the .com site, I have 0 coding experience. It seems functionality has returned to the WordPress website. This morning I was able to view the plug in button content, and it reverts to a blog about the plug in. I am trying to create a website and not a blog. While some functionality has restored to the WordPress website and I can now view some of the beginner blogs to help me out. Definitely a huge learning curve to this.
