New Update? Link button forces me to the top of the page.

You can follow along here:

Howdy, just wondering if there has been any progress on the “fix”?? Still having the page jumping issue as of October 5th. This has added a lot of time and frustration to publishing our newspaper.
ThanksPS – to Supernova: I have not tried pasting a link w/out the link button, as I want them to have the link open in a new tab and not leave my page. Plus there is still the problem of adding photos (media).

Hi yellowpinetimes,
Our developers are still working on resolving this. I appreciate you have been waiting for news but I can’t give you a firm date for when this will be fixed at the moment — we’ll be in touch if anything changes though.
In the meantime, you could try making changes through the classic WP Admin interface.

Thank you for the update. The ‘page jumping’ issue is still occurring as of Oct 18th.
If I pay the $18/year for the site, will I still have this problem? I’m getting desperate! Some of my blog posts are 10,000 words with multiple links and photos. -
Upgrading to a paid plan won’t make any difference. The problem remains when using the My Sites/Calypso dashboard. If you click on the link provided by @gemmacevans ten days ago you will be taken to the /wp-admin dashboard of your site where everything continues to work correctly.

The jumping to the top of a post continues in the My Site/Calypso dashboard but as mentioned earlier you shouldn’t have any problems if you use wp-admin (add /wp-admin/post-new.php to your site address and then try a test post).
