New URL

    Hello,
    I’m sorry if this is a silly question but I’m pretty new to all this. I just recently upgraded to a premium account and I want to change the url of my blog to take out the wordpress.com but if I do that will people who go to the old url be automatically linked to the new one? All our friends have the old address so I don’t want to change it if it doesn’t link. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Yes, that is correct. People going to the full WordPress.com address will automatically be linked to the new domain that you register. To register the domain under your WordPress.com Premium plan, please go to http://wordpress.com/domains and choose your site.
