New User Email

    I’m trying to add an author to my blog- you know where she has her own log in into my account. But when I set up her email from the WP dashboard- it is not sending her the login info and link where she can create a password. Ive tried two different emails. What is going wrong?

    Hi there,

    Is this for your self-hosted site, evolvingriley.com?

    For self-hosted sites it works differently than on WordPress.com, as there you need to create a new user on your site completely, and you have the option of creating a password for them. Some hosts also limit the number of users you can add on a site.

    Please post in the self-hosted forums, as they’ll be better able to help you, but you might want to reach out to your hosting provider’s support as well.
