New user: Few queries

I am looking to use the Ever After theme.
1. Adding images
Only photos from my computer seem to be adding successfully to my posts. If a link a URL, or copy a picture into a Powerpoint file and add it my posts, they don’t work (just get a “?” within the post). Any ideas why this might be?
2. Colour of the banner under the blog headline
The colour of the banner is duck blue – how do I change it?
3. URLs
When I want to add a URL to a post, it doesn’t save as a clickable link – how do I make links click through to the internet?
4. Ordering the menu
The menu of headers defaults automatically to alphabetical ordering – is it possible to define which order the headers (of pages) can be listed?
5. Rotating pictures on home page
The theme template shows pictures rotating on the home page – how is this done?

I dont want to publish my blog yet, as its not ready.
The question that is still troubling me the most is how to get the home page of “Ever After” to have pictures to rotate – what I think might be called “featured post slider”.
I have 2 “sticky posts”, both with “featured images”, but they don’t rotate on the home page.
Any ideas what I need to do would be appreciated, as I have been trying to find a solution for a while with no luck.
