New User Invitations Are Not Being Sent

  A friend of mine is trying to sign me up at her website (http://novacancyheart.com/), but the author invitation email has never reached me. (My email is (email visible only to moderators and staff))

  Is WordPress just acting up at the moment, or is there some specific step we’re forgetting? She sent me a screenshot of her User page, and it all looked right to me.
