New User looking to create an options page that cotains images

  • Unknown's avatar

Im Looking to add an options page where a customer can select the acrylic blank for their pen to made from. There about 60 possible options at this time and I would like for them to be able to “add to cart” the blank name so that then when the order comes over for the pen it includes that name. Example would be: 1 Bolt Action Pen, Gun metal hardware, Blue Agate Blank.

I have started by creating a page using my current theme and added a few images that expand when clicked on.( See “Acrylic Blanks” on the site).

    ANY help would be appreciated.

  • Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out with your question.

Since your site, thepenguys.us, is hosted on WordPress.org, certain issues fall outside the scope of our usual support here on WordPress.com.

Here are some steps and resources to help you add an options page for selecting acrylic blanks:

    Using WooCommerce Product Add-Ons:

      • If you’re using WooCommerce, you can use the WooCommerce Product Add-Ons plugin. This allows you to add extra options to your products, such as selecting an acrylic blank for a pen. Customers can select their preferred option, which will be added to the order details.
      • You can find more information and support for WooCommerce plugins here.

      Custom Product Pages:

        • You can create a custom product page with dropdown menus or radio buttons for customers to select options. This can be achieved using a page builder plugin like Elementor or Beaver Builder.

        Add Custom Fields:

          • Consider adding custom fields to your product pages. Plugins like Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) can help you create and manage these fields, allowing customers to select their options before adding the product to the cart.

          Custom Code:

            • If you’re comfortable with coding, you can add custom code to your theme’s functions.php file to create a more tailored solution. Ensure you have a backup of your site before making any changes.
