new user notifications.

I’ve received several emails from WordPress notifying me of new user registrations on my site. What does this mean?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
This means that someone registered to follow your site. Now each time you publish new content they’ll receive an update in their Reader or in an email.
You can learn more about viewing and managing your followers here:

Thanks for that. But what I don’t understand is how they are even doing it. The site isn’t published. Unless they are signing up on my Wix site ( https://www.chefproject.ca/ ), and it is somehow notifying WordPress.
-
I think they’re subscribing to another WordPress site that you own. Maybe chef-project-curated-kitchen.mystagingwebsite.com.
-
Possibly, but the notification reads – New user registration on your site Curated Kitchen by ChefProject.ca: – with only the “Chefproject.ca” highlighted as a link. And when I click on that, it takes me to: https://www.chefproject.ca/.
It’s nice to know people are signing up, but I’m not sure why it’s happening this way.
Thanks. -
I was right. People are subscribing to chef-project-curated-kitchen.mystagingwebsite.com. This site’s title is “Curated Kitchen from Chef Project.ca”. Chefproject.ca is recognized by your email program as a site that’s why it gets highlighted as a link.
Also, note that these are the WordPress.com forums and your site is using the self-hosted version of WordPress (WordPress.org). In the future, you can ask over at the WordPress.org forums.
