New user registration?

What is new user registration? I don’t presently have a blog (I used to) but periodically receive emails like this: New user registration on your site My two cents worth:
Username: NiamhBroo
E-mail: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
What does that mean? “My two cents worth” was the name of my old blog but has been deleted for a long time. How can someone “register” for a blog that doesn’t exist – and what does “registering” for my blog mean anyway? Thank you

The authors have deleted this site.I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

I do not see a user on WordPress.com with the username or email address in your original inquiry. Could this be in reference to a self-hosted WordPress blog?

Hi jackiedana. Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, like I said, my blog “My two cents worth” is gone. I recall deleting it maybe over a year ago now. If my blog was (or is still) “self-hosted” I wouldn’t have known I was doing that when I set it up. Is there a way to check?
BTW, I got another “new user registration” today. I’m still not sure what that means but it doesn’t make sense to me that people are “registering” on a blog that no longer exists (and that I’m getting an email that they’ve done so.)
Any advice would be welcome.

The blog http://mytwocentsworth.wordpress.com/ was indeed deleted, and there are no users or followers on that blog. It was created a number of years ago and has no content.
Again, since that user does not exist on WordPress.com, and the blog was deleted a long time ago, my guess is that you’re talking about a different WordPress blog, hosted elsewhere. There is a site at http://mytwocentsworth.com/ that is not hosted by us. Perhaps that’s the source of these notifications?

If wordpress wasn’t the host then how could I have deleted the blog from wordpress? I’m not very sophisticated at this (obviously) – I wouldn’t have the first clue how to create a WP blog and have it hosted somewhere else.
