New user vs. New blog

  Hi,

  I’m currently setup as a user associated with an existing blog owned by someone else. They created an account for me and gave me access to their blog. I want to create my own blog not associated with the first one. Do I need to create a new user account do do this, or if I go ahead and create a new blog will it be in any associated with the first one?

  You can create a blog with your existing name / account – when logged in at the top of the screen click on “My Blogs >> create blog” – and follow the directions.

  The Admin of the other blog will not have access to your new blog – the only “connection” is your name will show up on both blogs – if you don’t like that then you need to create a new account / name.

  I have an existing blog and want to add a user who does not have a username with WordPress. Where does someone go to create a new name?

  And since your blog is created by someone else, I think you should change your password.

  @tatertwat, the new user has to make an account in wp.com the same way you did.
