new user – widgets not appearing

    I am using the Moka theme, and have purchased Custom Design & No ads. I want to use this more as an easily updatable portfolio site than a blog.
    So I have a fixed Front Page, with an About (Moka) widget in position 1, a Gallery in position 2 and a Big quote (Moka) in position 3. The widgets are not appearing. I have cleared my cache & have cookies enabled.
    (I have also tried creating my own Portfolio page instead, but can’t get anything to appear on that either.)

    Help!!

    You can learn about Moka’s features on its Showcase page http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/moka/ Make sure to click the “Support” button in the right column there.

    Since Moka is a premium theme, you have access to a special support forum where you can get assistance from the theme author. Click the red “need extra help” from the Support page in the theme showcase. In order to post in that forum, you need to be logged in with the username that purchased the premium theme.
