New Users not showing up under “authors” widget

  On the right you see a widget I’ve called “Contributors.”

  When I go to the “manage users” tab, there are five of us. Why are only three shown as
  contributors?

  The three who are shown are

  me; I set the thing up.
  AJ; he wrote a piece we published on the blog
  Nick H; he has done nothing on the blog, but had a blog elsewhere (he was already a member of wordpress.

  Have you set them all to be authors? Only those designated as Authors, not contributors, will show on the authors widget as far as I know.

  What are the different roles?
