New users register for a username, but do not receive email when added.

  I am trying to add users to my blog. I have added two, but need to add three more. The users have registered as a user of WordPress, i.e. not signed up for a blog, but when I attempt to add them, no email is sent to their email address. Yes, we have checked their email addresses for correctness. When we try to re-register them as users, the email address is cited as already belonging to a user. What to do?

  Have you tried just adding their email address via the Users section of your blog’s Dashboard?
