  is there a way I can design a webpage without domain name to see if I like the look 1st then decide if I want this service?

  Yes, you can do this. It’s actually a very common request that we see.

  All you need to do is register a free site address through your WordPress.com account. Click on My Sites – + Add New Site

  Once the site is added to the account you’ll probably want to keep it hidden. Having duplicated content could affect SEO on your old site. Plus, you can keep it hidden until you’re ready to share with the world.
