  I am exploring WordPress to find a replacement for my current site. I do not want to take out a subscription until I am sure that I can find the right template. Also, I do not want to use my current domain until I am certain. Every avenue I follow on WordPress asks me to sign up or transfer my domain. I just want a safe, offline environment where I can test ideas until I am satisfied that WordPress is the solution for me. I would appreciate any advice or guidance.

  If you want to work in a offline environment, it would be better to install wordpress.org locally, https://localbyflywheel.com/
