  Hi, I am looking to transfer my current website to WordPress. I work at a non-profit and have events, fundraisers and donations. We currently use a credit card processing company linked with our website, but we are looking to change that as well. Our current website is not able to be managed by our employees, instead we have website designers manage it. This is both costly and inefficient for us as requests take days. I am not ready to set my new website up, but would like to trial how it would work. Am I able to do this without interrupting the current function of my website? Thanks!

  Hi there, no problem. You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready and allow you to test things out.

  I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:

  While the Premium plan can support recurring payments (handy for donations) it sounds like the Business Plan may be the best fit for you. Plus it comes with two Quick Start sessions, which can be very helpful in getting up and going.

  Just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
