  I am interested in switching from my current website provider to Word Press. However I am confused if I switch my domain over to you, is it still free? or do you charge me for hosting my website?

  You will have to upgrade to a custom domain by purchasing one of the WordPress.com paid plans.

  You have two options when migrating your domain over to WordPress.com.

  1. Domain Mapping
  2. Domain Transfer

  Domain Transfer – If you transfer the domain to WordPress.com, we’ll manage the domain. You’ll pay for the mapping and the plan here (domain is included within the plan price for the first year).

  Domain Mapping – But, if you keep the domain with your current host and map the domain to WordPress.com, your current host will continue to manage the domain and you’ll still need to pay them for hosting your domain.
