New website for a society

  A umbrella society (a congress or congress) has its own domain. What are the costs of setting up a website for the society. Do they develop their own page /site or are there ready-to-go websites that can be used/adapted? They would like to add a Facebook presence too. The website would be content managed where individual societies are expected to have their own page which they manage themselves, with a possibility for individual members to opt-in and receive emails for latest club news, meeting reminders, etc.

  What you are asking is not possible at WordPress.com. You will need to find an independent web host and install WordPress Multi User from WordPress.ORG.
