New Website Questions
-
Our family wants to start a new website where multiple family members can collaborate on researching our family tree. We want to have one area of verified/sourced materials i.e., census records, birth records, death records etc. Another area is needed for speculating and ideas for research etc. We need to either upload a family tree or link to one on Ancestry. Is there anyone to call and get help setting this site up (probably using premium)? Can a debit card be used that can be recharged with funds as needed? Lots of questions. Are they all answered (and more) by the community or is there a tech support like Godaddy?

Hi @searchmeister, you’d be welcome to set up a site with categories for all of those types of records. And sure, if you use any of our paid plans, you’d be welcome to use a card to renew those fees.
Personally, since Ancestry and FamilySearch type sites tend to have a lot of very specific options for your family tree, I’d recommend linking to the tree there and using this site for communication rather than building a copy of your tree here, but it’s up to you.
Our paid plans come with direct tech support. These community forums are for free users mostly — though we do also answer some presales questions here.
And, our Business Plan also comes with two 1:1 sessions, or you can purchase one as you’d like:
