New Website troubles

    I currently have a very basic website with Shopify. I have just bought private hosting with 1+1 Hosting and I am trying to put together a new website with WordPress but while using a Shopify plugin. How do I go about shifting products etc across to my new wordpress website? Are there certain themes that I must use for an ecommerce website or can I use any theme? I am currently using Sydney theme, is that appropriate for an ecommerce website? Sorry for confusion but Im clueless.
