New wordpress editor

  Hello,

  I would like to undertand why the new editor is not available on my blog and when I tried to create another website just as a test I was able to access the new editor? Is there any way I can activate this option on my current blog?

  Hello!

  What people generally refer to as “the new editor” is the default editor now. It is active on any new site that you create. You might also see other references to the new editor as Gutenberg or “the block editor.”

  If you meant to ask how to switch to the “old editor” also known as the Classic editor, you can also find more information about that at the link above.

  Hi @bruaranguiz much depends on the age of your site. If your older site was created prior to 2019, it might still have the Classic Editor available in the MySites dashboard, but that is changing. All of WordPress.com is moving to the Block Editor in the MySite interface in the near future. You can read more about that in this blog post.

  If you want to switch your site now to the Block Editor, click any of the links that WordPress.com presents when you visit your site’s MY HOME dashboard or open your Editor. If you’re not seeing those, you can also click the link at the bottom of the right sidebar in the MySites Classic Editor to “Level up” to the Block Editor.

  How do we go back to the classic editor? The block editor is a dumpster fire and unnecessary.

  Why did you have to mess up a good thing?
