New WordPress– Horrible or What?

Who else cannot stand the “new” WordPress? I’ve been publishing posts on two blogs every weekday for five years now, and now I’m seriously considering removing BOTH sites and viewers due to the backwards nature of this “new” format. I enjoyed the old format and the ability to use the old over the “new.” But now that’s been taken away from me!
Anyone else agree? Am I missing something? Any feedback from other wordpress.com viewers wpould be appreciated. Ready to leave & transfer my blogs to another blog site–

The old editor still exists and you can still use it, and staff has indicated that there aren’t any plans at this stage to scrap it. The simplest option now is to bookmark your WP-Admin dashboard and always create and edit new posts and pages via that. To find your WP-Admin dashboard, click on the WP-Admin link on the My Sites page, or add “wp-admin/” at the end of your WordPress.com URLs.
If you don’t mind “getting your hands dirty” a bit, another user has created a workaround in the form of a user script you can install in your browser that will automatically take you to the classic editor every time the new one tries to load if you click the New Post or Edit buttons in the admin bar or on-site. You saved the day (time two!), kokkieh! I truly appreciate it. Seems WP has been slowly taking away my ability to use the old standard (and still best) interface by removing buttons to get to it (a couple times already so far this year). I tried the new & found it quite cumbersome & took three times longer (times two blogs) to post a single article. I’ve bookmarked my two blogs directly to the (old) post-page, so hopefully that does the trick, per your tip. Thanks again!

For some reason they really want us to use the new editor, but as long as the old one exists we’ll find a way to use it :)
