New wordpress install homepage ‘oops’ no posts showing

  Hello all!
  I use Siteground.com for hosting and I recently imported my blog from Blogger.com. Even before the import, all I have is a homepage showing ‘Oops! That page can’t be found!’. I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire package using Softalicious and it is still the same. I tried setting a static link for the home page, it is still ‘Oops!’. Thoughts?

  I also restored my .htaccess but to no avail.
