new wordpress site – existing domain

    I have an existing domain hosted with Hypermart.net.
    I want to create a new site using Wordress than transfer from the old to the new site. I don’t want o have to transfer or remapp until I have completed developing the new site. Can I do that?

    Hi @gjburns4, no problem. You’re welcome to stage your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    Start by creating your site with the plan of your choice:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/five-step-website-setup/

    And then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready. Then you can either transfer the domain or map it to our servers.

    Noting you may need a domain to add plugins and themes to our Business plan, but if you need help with that, you can get in touch via chat support and our team will help you through.
