New WordPress SIte – Massive Server Load

  I recently created a new WordPress site. It is hosted with my usual host company on a shared server which I have used for many years without issue.

  The site is causing huge issues as it is using pretty much 100% of the cpu usage on the shared server with massive spikes up to 96% at times.

  I have looked for advice on what could be causing this, disabled all plug ins and re-enabled checking each time, optimized all images to save space and so on. I have enabled usual WPRocket, caching apps and so on. The problem persists.

  My host company have now moved the site to another CPanel account for me so that I could password protect/disable the site and run further tests. Immediately all of the problems went away so it’s definitely this new site causing the issues.

  Any help and guidance and how to track the problem would be greatly appreciated.

  The site runs very slowly as well so something seems to be dragging it down.

  We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. You could start by contacting your hosting support.
