New year to WordPress, blogging etc

  Hi everyone , I’ve recently set up my own blog and I’m still not sure about the theme yet, however, I’ve tried several so far but I don’t seem to be able to get either all my blog posts to auto scroll after the static front page or even appear under one one the site pages. I have about 12 posts now but apart from one mistake where I’ve posted a blog as a page , nothing shows on the website. Did I skip read8ng an important part of the basics somewhere? Thanks for your help
